Top 4 Guy Things to Do at Walt Disney World

Just the other day I was with a group of dad’s at one of our kids activities when the topic of Disney World came up. One of the dad’s commented that he would never go to Disney World for a vacation— “That place is meant for kids and not how I want to spend my free time!”

Woah there my friend… Apparently you do not know Disney World!

With this in mind I thought I’d throw together some of the top “guy” things to do on a Disney World vacation.

1. Grab a Round of Golf

Did you know that Walt Disney World doesn’t just have one championship caliber golf course, no my friends it has THREE. Not only have their courses held multiple PGA tour events, but they have also won numerous awards for their design, service and amenities.

Disney is so serious about its golf that there is even a special Players Club available. This membership gives you complimentary access to all practice ranges, daily clinics offered by the Pros at Disney World, and special rates during member access time.

And if a round of 18 is just too much for you, there is also an amazing 9-hole course available.

2. Grab a Pole and Catch a Fish

Walt Disney World offers first-class guided fishing experiences that are perfect for novices to experienced anglers.

Choose from Guided Bass Fishing Excursions, which includes a 21-foot Tracker pontoon boat that can accommodate up to 5 Guests, and Bass Nitro Fishing, which features a tournament-style Nitro Bass boat for one or 2 people. Both 2-hour and 4-hour excursions are offered.

And if you’re off to fish on your own, special solo afternoon rates are available!

3. Experience the Beers of the World Showcase

This has to be one of my favorite “guy” things to do at Walt Disney World. As you travel around Epcot’s World Showcase you can experience beers from all over the world. Canada, England, the US, Germany Mexico—all offer amazing beers. And if you’re in the mood you can snag one from Japan, Morocco, Italy and France.

Head on over during the Epcot Food & Wine Festival and there are even more options. My personal favorite then is Belgium, which offers a great multi-beer flight to sample some of the best beers in the world.

Beer not your thing? Try the tequila flight at La Cava inside the Mexico Pavillion.

4. … Just Enjoy the Smile on Your Kids Face!

One of my absolute favorite experiences at Walt Disney World had absolutely nothing to do with my own direct enjoyment—it was the look in my little girls face as she met one of her favorite Princesses. Sure Disney World can be a “kids” place, but the real fun is seeing the magic and wonder within your kid’s eyes. Its also in building memories to last you a lifetime.

So dad’s… Take your kids to Walt Disney World! Experience that magic with them as they look in awe at their favorite character. Enjoy their excitement on a fun ride or during an amazing nighttime show.

And be sure to carve out some “guy” time to enjoy an opportunity to relax and take in one these great experiences.
