In honor of my birthday I thought I'd chime and let you know about a great Disney experience many do not know about... And something ladies can use to help convince their stubborn husbands to head down to Orlando. Golf!

Since the early days of  the Walt Disney Resort there has been one consistent activity available-- Golf!

Disney World is currently home to four golf courses-- three 18-hole championship courses and one 9-hole walking course. Each has garnered tremendous praise and awards for design, service, amenities, and playability. Disney World courses have also played host to numerous professional level tournaments.

Magnolia Golf Course

Disney's Magnolia course is designed in a traditional Tour style featuring beautiful magnolia trees, spacious greens, challenging water hazards, and wide open fairways. In total the course features 11 water hazards on its 18 holes and more than 90 bunkers. The yardage of the course ranges from 7,516 yards from the Black tees to 5,127 yards from the Red tees-- providing a great challenge for serious and new golfers.

Disney's Magnolia Golf Course is certified by Audubon International as a Cooperative Wildlife Sanctuary and rated 4 stars by Golf Digest. The course is situated near the Magic Kingdom with easy access from the Polynesian Resort or Grand Floridian Resort.

Why should I stay at a Walt Disney World Resort?

Often times potential friends ask why is it so special to stay on-site at a Walt Disney World Resort? Sure you may luck into a good hotel deal that saves you a few dollars, but the value of staying on property outweighs potential savings and most of the time when you look at everything included a Disney Resort is cheaper!

Transportation

The value of a Disney Resort begins the second you step off the airplane at Orlando International. Of course you need to go pick up your luggage, right? NOPE! Disney’s Magical Express has you covered. They will not only get you to your resort to check-in, they’ll also bring your bags to your room about three to four hours after you land. Amazing convenience!

Oh, and this service is complimentary for Disney Resort guests.

And it does not stop there. Disney Transportation will take you everywhere you need to go on property. Bus, monorail, boat… There are many transportation options available. Again, all included in your Disney resort stay.

Become a Wilderness Explorer at Disney's Animal Kingdom

During our last trip to Disney World’s Animal Kingdom theme park, we participated in the Wilderness Explorer experience.  My son LOVED it and I loved that he learned something while having fun!

This hands on experience is based on Disney Pixar’s  Up—allowing you to follow in the footsteps of Russell as you “explore the wilderness!”

Pick up your Wilderness Explorer Handbook as you approach Discovery Island from the entrance of the park.  You must take the Wilderness Explorer’s Oath before setting off on this fun-filled adventure! You also have to show the lead Explorers that you know the saying and hand symbols of the group. Don’t worry mom and dad, it’s not too embarrassing!
