In honor of my birthday I thought I'd chime and let you know about a great Disney experience many do not know about... And something ladies can use to help convince their stubborn husbands to head down to Orlando. Golf!

Since the early days of  the Walt Disney Resort there has been one consistent activity available-- Golf!

Disney World is currently home to four golf courses-- three 18-hole championship courses and one 9-hole walking course. Each has garnered tremendous praise and awards for design, service, amenities, and playability. Disney World courses have also played host to numerous professional level tournaments.

Magnolia Golf Course

Disney's Magnolia course is designed in a traditional Tour style featuring beautiful magnolia trees, spacious greens, challenging water hazards, and wide open fairways. In total the course features 11 water hazards on its 18 holes and more than 90 bunkers. The yardage of the course ranges from 7,516 yards from the Black tees to 5,127 yards from the Red tees-- providing a great challenge for serious and new golfers.

Disney's Magnolia Golf Course is certified by Audubon International as a Cooperative Wildlife Sanctuary and rated 4 stars by Golf Digest. The course is situated near the Magic Kingdom with easy access from the Polynesian Resort or Grand Floridian Resort.

Disney's Palm Golf Course

In the summer of 2013 this course was completely renovated to the standards of Arnold Palmer Course Design. The extensive work included building entirely new green complexes, newly shaped tees, and a completely new bunker design that has modernized this historic golf course. The end result is a challenging course that magnifies the natural woodland beauty of central Florida.

Disney's Palm Golf Course is is 6,870 yards from the Black tees and 5,213 from the Red tees. The course has a 4 rating from Golf Digest. The course is situated near the Magic Kingdom with easy access from the Polynesian Resort or Grand Floridian Resort.

Disney's Lake Buena Golf Course

Disney's third 18-hole course is designed in the classic country club style that winds through pastel villas, pine forests, and beautiful lakes. The course has hosted numbers PGA, LPGA, and USGA events-- featuring world class golfers from across the globe. The course features elevated bunkered greens that require accurate approach shots. The 7th hole features an island green-- certain to challenge even the best golfers.

The Lake Buena Vista Golf Course is certified by Audubon International as a Cooperative Wildlife Sanctuary and rated an impressive 4 stars by Golf Digest. It is 6,745 yards from the Black tees and 5,177 from the Red tees-- with a course rating from 72.3 to 69.7. Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course

If you just want to grab a quick round, the 9-hole 36 Par Oak Trail Golf Course is a great option. Certified by Audubon International as a Cooperative Wildlife Sanctuary, Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course lets you test your skills with holes ranging from 132 to 517 yards from the white tees; holes 5, 6 and 7 are routed around a deep canal and a picturesque pond.

Disney's Oak Trail features Junior tees, making it the perfect course for a family outing.
